Location

Puerto Galera is Y-shaped peninsula located on the northern shores of Mindoro Island, some 130 km south of Manila and 14 nautical miles from Batangas City. It is bounded on the north by Verde Island Passage, on the south by the Municipality of San Teodoro (Oriental Mindoro), and on the west by the Municipality of Abra de Ilog (Occidental Mindoro). It has total area of 254.47 sqm., divided into twelve coastal barangays and one mountain barangay. Administratively, it belongs to the province of Oriental Mindoro.

Rooms

Heritage Heritage has twelve air-condition rooms that were named after tribes in the Philippines. It has one day bed... a stair going to the attic where the two more beds are located, a bathroom and one toilet which are separated. This building is located at the back so there is no seaview. A big hall called Fiesta Pavilion is on the top floor which can accomodate up to thousand people. Suite Room From the outside it looks like something similar to the bungalow deluxe rooms... but inside it is a lot bigger. There is a small sitting area and a bedroom separated by a sliding door. Of course it has it's own private toilet and bathroom... And it's own private balcony with great seaview and of course there is a hammock. Family Deluxe Room All guests with young or older children, we try to give them out family deluxe rooms, there are 4 very large two-floor cottages. 16 family deluxe rooms. These rooms are definitely our luxurious rooms. Banana Deluxe House Consists all of one house with only one room, it is very private and in fact there is only one curtain in front out to the big balcony... all these balconies have a splendid view directly to the sea... no door... this together with a quite nice big bathroom in the back makes the room different from anything else. Even the room itself is quite small - it gives an incredible intimacy and a couple feels the "jungle" and the hundreds of Banana palms around. These rooms have very nice seaview. Super Banana Deluxe Same as an ordinary Banana House but have an extra little floor attic, for maybe two smaller children or in some cases these houses are good for couples who want to look at stars at night. These houses are the highest at hall in our hills - it might take 15 minutes to go there. Like the Banana House, they are located way up high on the hill. Bungalow / Old Classic Deluxe Filipinos or Asians prefer bigger and more convertible rooms. Mostly we give them the old bungalows - in one bungalow there are two rooms... these are also good for two couples who want to stay near each other. All the Bungalows have also private balcony with a hammock and has seaview. Only 2 rooms are on ground level but quite far from the restaurant. Standard Room All the rooms are in one row much like an apartment row. Rooms are quite small but can occupy 4 persons... it has a unique bunk bed... there are actually 3 beds, 1 double bed and 2 single beds... as it is located at the back of the resort near the basketball / tennis court, there is no seaview.

Dining

There are four restaurants in Coco Beach alone. This comes as no surprise because in the Philippines, eating is a national passion! Here at Coco Beach Island Resort, we've raised dining to a new level of enjoyment. Carabao Restaurant This is probably the first place you will be upon arrival. Our main restaurant located at the frontdesk. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and snacks are served here. Choose from a wide range of sumptuous menu delicacies which will crave you for more... Dolphin Restaurant Located at the center of our swimming pool bridging from one side to the other. Enjoy watching your kids at the pool as you eat or having your snack. Doña Lina Revolving Restaurant It was a challenge and a dream for us to build this unique structure - a tower on which sits a revolving restaurant! The view here is absolutely stuning, especially by sunset. . Barracuda Bar and Music Lounge Barracudas are fierce ocean fish with a bad reputation. Divers and fishermen get tense when there are barracudas around. But there's nothing to be tense about our Barracuda Bar. It's a nice place where you can relax and watch the world pass you by during the late afternoon, or after dinner. Listen to your choice of great music, and sip cool drinks prepared by our bartenders. Romantic Dinner at the Beach?? Celebrating something special with somebody special? We prepare at the beach a table with all the trimmings (white tablecloth, candlelights, flowers, etc.) and your own waiter to serve you. Choose from our Chef's menu and of course a bottle or two of our special wines. Let us know at least a day in advance and we take care of the rest. Picnics One advantages of being at Coco Beach is having the chance to get away from it. Explore Puerto Galera's natural beauty be a Robinson Crusoe for a day. Laze around an isolated cove, swim or snorkel in it's clear blue water, then grill your own food. And still, enjoy the modern day pleasure of cold beers, softdrinks, wines, etc. in a cooler.

Recreation Facilities 101 Coconuts Coco Beach has come up with a new Coco Activities for you to enjoy while you spend your holiday with us. Effective since 01 November 2003, we guarantee that at least 95% of all these 101 activities are working. If less than 95% are not working, you are entitled to refund what you have paid for accommodation. Land Sports and Activities While everyone loves the water, we also offer a variety of activities for "Landlubbers." Land tours by the town's jeepney or new Hummer are also available, and mountain bike rentals. Basketball and Beach Volleyball this is your chance to beat the staff. Losing team pays a case of beer to winners. Water Sports Coco Beach Island Resort offers a variety of water sports, including banca rides, fishing with local fishermen, glass-bottomed boat rides, snorkeling, water skiing and our crazy banana boat! Ask our front desk for more details and rates. Boat Rides and Island-Hopping We offer FREE boat rides daily to different beaches around the island. The bancas leave at 9:30 am and return to Coco Beach Island Resort at 11:45 am. If you want a more flexible schedule, or if you want to set of on your own adventures, you may contract the services of taxi-bancas in from of Coco Beach. You will have to agree on the price of their service before you set off. Ask the resort staff for a guide on the common rates to and from selected destinations. Ponderosa Golf & Country Club For those who are in love with this international game, we bring you to this attractive club with a spectacular view to take on the course. Children's Playground This is a small Filipino village, built of sturdy materials. There is a swing, an obstacle course, a sandbox, and many other amenities that the children can climb, swing from, pull, twist, and turn to keep them busy. There is always a caretaker to keep an eye oen the kids, and the playground is also open to the children of the resort staff.
