Renowned for its peaceful beachfront surroundings, El Galleon is on Small Lalaguna Beach, Puerto Galera. El Galleon cottages afford the peace and tranquility of private rooms, nestled amongst palm trees and warm breezes with the crystal clear waters of the Philippine Sea only a stone's throw away.

The galley offers a mouth watering menu ranging from terrific salads and sandwiches (made with our our freshly baked bread), to Filipino and European specialties. All meals are prepared under the keen eye of our resident chef.

The Point bar is the ideal place to enjoy your favorite cocktail. The view is sensational and when the sun goes down, The Point is the place to be - we're open as long as you want us to be!

Puerto Galera offers some of the best diving in the world and El Galleon provides the ideal base from which to do it. Our dive center is operated by Asia Divers, a PADI 5 star IDC Center, the largest and most professional dive school in the area. Qualified divers can enjoy over 30 dive sites and further their qualification at all levels. Beginners can take an intoduction to SCUBA or full open water course - either way they will be under expert supervision by our dive master scuba instructors at all times. Courses are taught in English, Tagalog, Swedish, French, German and Japanese.

Why share the beach with anyone when we can whisk you away to a deserted bay for the day. We can organize a fishing trip, sunset cruise, beach barbecue or pack you a picnic - whatever you choose.

And if you fancy a change from the sea, we can show you spectacular local walks, arrange a round of golf at a nearby 9 hole course or even introduce you to the local Hash House Harriers.

Location

Centrally located along Small La Laguna Beach, 5-7 minutes walk from likewise densely populated Sabang Beach's shops, restaurants, entertainment. Transportation links to Puerto Galera Pier is a quick 30-second walk.

Outrigger boats as water taxis are accessible a few minutes along a walkway, which used to be a beach. Dive spots and deserted beaches can be found a boat ride away. Further tucked away inland, one hour by jeepney and boat, is Ponderosa Golf Course's 9-hole fairway.

The Manila-Puerto galery journey involves a 2.5-hour drive from Manila to Batangas Pier and a 1-hour ferry ride onwards to Puerto Galera.

Rooms

El Galleon Dive Resort's cottages afford the peace and tranquility of private rooms, nestled amongst palm trees and warm breezes with the crystal clear waters of the Philippine Sea only a stone's throw away. Thirty (30) air-conditioned rooms have been constructed on the tropical hillside all in keeping with the area's natural beauty. With views of Sabang Bay and Small Lalaguna beach, each room is complete with a fully stocked mini-bar, hot water and hotel amenities. All rooms have an air-conditioning unit and an electric fan.

Budget Rooms (4)
For those that are looking for comfort but without the view and fuss. These rooms come with a queen-size bed, air-conditioning, mini bar and bathrooms that look like the one granddad used to own: old yet still charming.

Poolside Rooms (12)
Step outside your room and drop into the pool. The Poolside rooms are equipped with a queen-size bed, air-conditioning, mini bar and storage space. All bathrooms have hot water and cold water, and a vanity area.

Family Rooms (3)
The Family rooms are all capable of one or two extra beds. They come with one queen-size bed (extra beds on request), air-conditioning, mini bar and comfortable bathrooms with vanity area.

Seaview Rooms (10)
The most requested rooms, the Seaview rooms have fantastic water front views. You can literally throw a stone into the sea from any of these spacious and well appointed rooms. All Seaview rooms are fitted out with a queen-size bed, mini bar, air-conditioning and storage space. All bathrooms are equipped with hot and cold water, and a vanity area.

Penthouse (1)
Luxurious one-bedroom apartment with private kitchen, a large balcony, and a joining living room with a spectacular sea view. This is your home away from home.

Dining Facilities

The El Galleon Restaurant, with seating that extends to the water's edge, is one of the most popular in Puerto Galera. It offers a mouthwatering combination of great value local and European cuisine.

The Point Bar is the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail, and it is open as long as guests want it to be.

Some of the Best Diving in Asia with Asia Divers!
Dives with Asia Divers, the Philippines' only PADI CDC centre are guided by experienced instructors or Divemasters who lead the dive in the water giving you the best of each site, including areas not frequented by other operatoions. Briefings include detailed "Naturalist" aspects of each site.

Safety First: Planned using the Recreational Dive Planner and/or your dive computer. All guides carry surface marker buoys and storm whistles.

All the convenience of a liveaboard but all the attraction and flexibility of being land based.

Some of the best diving in Asia, over 30 sites all within 15 minutes' travel, dives suitable for all experience levels, it couldn't be more convenient.

There are at least five scheduled dives a day. Usual times are 9am, 11am, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm (night) with a choice of sites at each time.

Diving in small groups (less than six) from local Bangka (outrigger) boats.

Diving all year round, every day of the week, with temperatures between 23 and 30 degrees Celsius, the coldest months being December to February. Visibility is usually at least 18 -20 meters (up to 40 meters).

You must produce a logbook and certification card before diving.

Technical Dives and Rebreather Diving should be with prior notice and appropriate certification (with separate fees).

Divers may also take their underwater adventures home on video for a fee.

Reptile Farm Have a look at Puerto Galera's newest attraction: the Reptile Farm, with many creatures from all over Asia. The normal tour will take you around for 2-21/2 hours, guided by qualified animal handlers for the US and Australia. PHP 700 per person, group discounts available.

• These specially discounted internet rates can only be availed if booked and paid through TravelMart; and can not be availed in combination with other promos.

• Booking(s) have to be paid in advance before the check-in date and issuance of voucher(s). Unpaid bookings are not guaranteed.
• Payment by credit card will be billed upon confirmation of booking.
• Upon receipt of payment, voucher(s) will be faxed or emailed to guest.
• A wash down or decrease in the original number of rooms/persons reserved/booked shall, to the extent of the decrease in the number of rooms/persons, be considered a cancellation and shall be subject to cancellation charges.
• Any and all cancellations/wash downs must be done through email to bookings@travelmart.net. Any and all wash downs/cancellations on the phone will not be honored.
• If guest fails to show up on check-in/tour day without prior notice to TravelMart, the No-show charges shall be applied.
• One-night rate as Cancellation or No-Show charge includes room charges, meals, tours and other arrangements.
• There shall be no refund for shortened stays including rooms checked-in and checked-out on the same day.
