For those who don't know, we are a family owned and operated eco hotel, we have 9 individual cottages situated on a hillside in a tropical garden setting overlooking Chamorro bay below. Our hotel offers to the eco adventure travellers the experience of enjoying Yap the island way.
Yap is known for it's superb diving sites, including diving with gaint manta rays. We have several Yap Diving Packages you could choose from and book them directly online.

The hotel has on premises JM's restaurant, a full service restaraurant catering to guest needs, with menu emphasizing local Yapese cuisines. If you want gifts to take home, stop by our gift shop where alot of our local artists feature their products, if you don't see anything you like, you can place an order directly with our carvers, weavers, and local artists to create for you your own unique gift.
We are located in the central town of Colonia, with every major business establishment within walking distance. We also have free transfers available to and from dive shops.
The Pathways Hotel is a Yapese Family owned and operated eco-hotel
dedicated to offering high adventure and low impact experiences for all visitors to Yap. Our service are commended by our guests, and our innovative design and friendly knowledgable staff makes Pathways one of the Best Hotels in Micronesia.
The cottages are built after the traditional design of a Yapese home. We have incorporated modern amenities such as air-conditioning, hot water, refrigerator, ceiling fan, and a private verandah overlooking Chamorro bay below. There are no phones or TV in the cottages; but you may use the lobby phone at anytime free of charge. For long distance phone calls phone cards are available which you can buy to make long distance calls.
We also offer "cottage service" so anytime you would like breakfast, lunch, or dinner at your cottage - we deliver.
In your cottage you will also find a small pamphlet we have made to inform you of all the services we offer here at the hotel as well as Phone numbers for taxi's, dive shops, and restaurant's. Useful Yapese words are put in the back of the pamphlet for you to use while meeting with the people in the villages.
The Cottages are beautifully built with mahogany logs lashed together with bamboo and reeds, the roofing is made of nippa or others say thatch, giving you an authentic feel of a Yapese house.
The view of the bay below is awesome, during the early morning hours you can sit on your porch and watch the sunrise come up or the white terns and honey eaters fly by. All the cottages are facing eastward to allow our guests the comfort of the trade winds and the view of the sunrise.
Housekeeping service is provided daily.
Each cottage is furnished with a king size bed, which can be converted into two twin beds. The private bath, air conditioning, ceiling fans, refrigerator, and writing desk create a cozy and intimate atmosphere. Of course there is hot water, and 24 hr. running water, even during the dry season.
Our restaurant serves three meals a day, you can order one of our meal packages, make up your own package, or try our most popular dish called " island dinner ". We are small and flexible and happy to cater to your pallet.
The restaurant is located right on the ground level right by the front desk, we offers breakfast, lunch and dinner from Sunday to Saturday. We have specialty sizzling dishes, and a variety of our chef's creation that incorporate local food and recipes.
We can arrange buffet's for up to 50+ people, or a picnic for two on a beach. A popular menu from our restaurant is our "island dinner" menu which consists of local food, mangrove crab, fish, and other variety of local island fruits.
We are flexible and want to make your dinning experience in Yap a most pleasant and enjoyable one. We open from 7 am to 2 pm and reopen from 4 pm to 9 pm in the evening Monday through Friday. Weekend schedule is from 7 am to 1 pm and reopen from 5 pm to 9 pm.
So when you are in Yap, even if you are not staying with us, we invite you to visit us and try one of our special sizzling dishes or our favorite, " island dinner".
